Caring for Portland Bronze products is an easy process that anyone can do. No art degree required! 

Cerakoat-Many of our products utilize Cerakote High Gloss Clear Ceramic as a final finish. Cerakote markets their product to be the industry leader in hardness, chemical resistance, wear performance and UV stability. 

Cerakote Cleaning Instructions-

  • Mild Soap and Water: Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild, soapy water to gently wipe away dirt, dust, and residue.
  • Rinse and Dry: Rinse the item with clean water and pat dry using a soft towel.
  • Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaning materials such as steel wool, abrasive pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
  • Avoid Harsh Solvents: Avoid using aggressive solvents or strong acids. While the coating is chemical resistant, sticking to mild, non-abrasive cleaning solutions for general maintenance is best

Other Clear Coat Surfaces from Portland Bronze

Many of our products utilize solvent borne clearcoat & low emission acrylic polymer. These finishes offer excellent gloss/satin retention, resist chemicals, weathering, solvents, and light abrasion.

Warranty-

Portland Bronze products are made from Silicon Bronze & Silicon Bronze Herculoy. Bronze is one of the most durable alloys in existence (i.e. bronze age!) In the off chance a problem is encountered, our products carry a limited lifetime warranty on workmanship & material durability to the original purchaser. This warranty is provided by Portland Bronze & begins on the original date of the purchase. This warranty is non-transferable. 

Patina Warranty-

Our products are hand patinated and utilize many different elements to produce the rich & vibrant finishes we offer. Each product is one of a kind and may contain light blemishes, spots, or slight surface imperfections. Patinated bronze may change over time as factors like environment & aging influence each individual piece. Our patina finishes offer a full one year workmanship warranty to the original purchaser. 

In the event warranty service is needed, just reach out to us at service@portlandbronze.com. Please include a brief description & photo of the issue & we will respond promptly with next steps. The shipping cost of the item(s) to Portland Bronze will be paid by the original purchaser. Portland Bronze will pay the return shipping cost of the product to the customer. 

Important Information-Items may not be shipped back to Portland Bronze without prior written authorization. Each product is one of a kind and may include small pits, dings, or surface imperfections. Our maximum liability under this warranty is limited to the purchase price of the product. Portland Bronze may repair, replace, or refund the original purchase price of the product in exchange for the product. 

Exclusions: Scratches, abrasions, general wear and tear, or deterioration due to the use of paints, solvents, or other chemicals. Damage caused by incorrect installation is not covered by this warranty. Weather and/or environmental conditions exceeding reasonable or otherwise specified environmental tolerances, including, but not limited to, coastal environments, high humidity, rainfall, solar exposure, extreme cold, extreme heat, or wind. This warranty does not cover use of the product in a manner for which it was not intended. This warranty does not apply to any accident, natural disaster, corrosive air, outdoor use, or alteration. This warranty does not cover any damages or expenses caused by any defective product. This warranty does not cover any loss, damage, injury, claim, cost or expense arising as a consequence of a defect in the product.
