The Bay Mussel is a plucky go anywhere bivalve. You will find their colonies just about anywhere underneath the Pacific Ocean high waterline. Bay mussels have enemies above & below with birds & crows above & sea stars, snails, & crabs below. A voracious eater with a several year lifespan, the plankton don’t stand a chance against this mollusk!
