A female Orca named Bjossa who once lived at the Vancouver Aquarium was the initial inspiration for this beautiful work of art. The patina vividly captures the extreme nature of the Orca's countershading. Perfectly camouflaged to it's surroundings, Orca's are black to blend in to their surroundings when viewed from above, and white to blend in with the bright surface light when viewed from below. Males can reach up to 32 feet in length and nearly 22,000 pounds. Females are know to live as long as 80 years. Limited edition of 450. Artist-Charles Grant
