Pacific pitted sandstone is formed when clastic sedimentary rock becomes exposed to the powerful forces of the ocean waves + battering coastal winds. Skelly Rock was once a home for a rock oyster, a filtering crustacean, anemone, or a scallop. After millions of years at the coast, Skelly Rock gave up it's post to reside in your home full time!
